I wasn’t planning on lunching out that day because I bought a cup of noodles, a banana and a hotdog sandwich for lunch. Then again, I don’t want to eat alone in the pantry while the girls are enjoying their lunch out of the office. And so we ended up in CBD in Ayala Triangle Gardens (again), Makati yuppies’ go-to foodie area.
Grace and Eden went ahead while Natz and I robbed a bank first. Kidding. Receiving Eden’s text that they were in CBD, I thought to myself, “CBD what?” Besides the fact that I haven’t heard of this restaurant, I wasn’t fond of their name too. It’s not catchy at all. I can’t help but assume that the letters stand for Central Business District. Harhar. 😀
Three TVs are mounted on their white wall, which I don’t get at all, because who can watch decent TV while eating and chatting? Plus, the restaurant was pretty noisy so I say they just bring those TVs down and conserve electricity. It’s for their own power bill’s sake–and Mother Nature’s too!
After going back and forth between the NY Cheeseburger (Php220) and London Blue Cheeseburger (Php220), I decided to try the latter. The burger comes loaded with blue cheese, ranch dressing and bacon–and it was really good! The crunchy potato strips on the side were a definite win.
It’s a good size for those with a man’s appetite, I think. Judging by the fact that there were a lot of expats and men eating in the restaurant. Well, might as well check that our for yourself since you’re reading the words of a girl standing at a measly 5’1″. Haha.
This is Grace’s cheesesteak. Their menu is very American, I can say. They had this “shake and bake” item on their menu that intrigued us all. It was your normal shake–but blended with cake. Ugh. How fat do they want their customers to be?
They’re running a promo right now but I think it’s only until the end of August. Those of you who are working in Makati, might as well pop in for a burger or two with your workmates. It’s beside Kanin Club
