Belle de Jour (n.’bel duh zhoor’)
1) French fashion lingo for ‘it” girl
2) the modern-day renaissance woman who dares to achieve her goals, lives her dream life, makes a difference in her community, while doing everything in great style.
I know that 2012 is still a couple of weeks away but that doesn’t mean girls shouldn’t already be armed with what would be a school or work essential–a planner. For 2012, I’m glad I don’t need to scour bookstores for a cute and fab planner because I just got my free Belle de Jour Power Planner again! Hurray! 🙂
No, I did not win this planner in a contest or wheedled someone into buying this for me. I’ve been getting my (free) BDJ planner from the amazing boyfriend, who is and has been part of the BDJ layout team for three years.
There are two other familiar names up there–Kat, a good friend of the boyfriend since high school (or was it grade school? :p) and the one and only Rod Victa! 🙂 These three got skills, I tell you! 🙂
The Belle de Jour Planner retails for roughly Php600, which is quite a bargain when you factor in all the lovely goodies and coupons inside. Just make sure you use ’em all up! Browsing through the coupons, I see familiar brands–Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Red Box, SM Department Store, Ace Water Spa, The Ramp Crossings, etc. I also spotted Etude House! 🙂
This year’s planner is again filled with a diverse set of articles that cover self-improvement, beauty, travel, thrifting and fashion tips. But what I particularly love about this planner, setting aside the boyfriend’s role in creating this planner, are the lovely bits of wisdom found at the top of every page.
It has been a great morning ritual for me–reading positive mantras to jump-start what would always be a hectic and stressful day ahead. Sometimes it lessens the migraines. Eep, I can’t wait to batter this pretty planner with words and all sorts of crazy! 😛
