Lipcote: Pucker Up For Lasting Lipstick

I don’t know about you girls, but I cannot go through one day without wearing lipstick. That basically comes from my need to give my lips some color since it’s disgustingly pale without it. With the need to keep my lips “colored” and pretty comes another problem–getting my lipstick to last the day. I’m pretty sure you have that same problem so here comes an awesome product arriving in the Philippines that answers that beauty dilemma of ours–Lipcote!

Launched at the 2012 Belle de Jour Fair, Lipcote is dubbed the “original lipstick sealer and secret of lasting lipstick.” It’s recommended by topnotch international makeup artists and celebrities. In fact, it received a Best in Beauty nod from British Vogue back in 2011.

While it’s certainly not a new beauty product, this is pretty much the first time something like this will be available in Manila. Yeah, you don’t have to pay expensive shipping fees anymore! 🙂

Here's the Lipcote bottle. It sure is tiny but fret not for it offers 100 applications.

I got to try Lipcote at the fair, but got myself a bottle a few days after. Here’s how Lipcote works:

Five steps to lasting lipstick!

Five steps to lasting lipstick!

  1. Apply your favorite (or not) lipstick.
  2. Blot with tissue.
  3. Apply Lipcote over and beyond lipstick.
  4. Keep your lips parted while it dries.
  5. Enjoy lasting lipstick!
I promise, it won’t take too much of your time if you add this to your beauty routine. To the girls who want to try this, let me just throw in the fact that Lipcote stings a bit upon application. It’s basically like alcohol–in consistency and scent. It’s quick-drying though so the sting won’t last longer than 10 seconds.
I already tried Lipcote a few times before writing this blog so rest assured that the product worked for me.

In the photo above I used MAC  Hey, Sailor! in Sail la Vie but I used Lipcote with many lipsticks already–Lancome, NYX, Maybelline, Elizabeth Arden and it worked every time.

Lipcote may protect your lipstick from smudging or fading when your eating or kissing but don’t go intentionally rubbing it off by biting your lips or wiping it off with tissue! Another thing: I once used Lipcote with a cracked lip because of too much exfoliation and it wasn’t pleasant. So better remember that, ladies.

Lipcote is available here for Php395 each. Afterwards, be a dear and spread the beauty word! 🙂
