It’s pretty rare to have everyone in the family present since we’re almost always busy on weekends. Last Father’s Day however, (yeah I know super late post here!) we made sure we had time! After visiting a newborn niece in the hospital, we headed to Cibo in Alabang Town Center.
I’ve always been a fan of Cibo because of two things they consistently do better in: great tasting food and warm service. I rarely put a restaurant on such a high pedestal, but yes, I love Cibo that much despite the occasional misses!
I don’t usually do appetizers but since I was with the family, we (more of they) all decided to order the Spinach and Gorgonzola Dip. The dip won the hearts of my parents! They were scraping the bottom of that tiny bowl after finishing dinner. :p
Yup, I think I just found another salad to love. Cibo’s Pacifica Salad (Insalata Pacifica) is hands down one of my new favorites! I know it’s difficult to get a salad wrong, but based on the variety of salads I’ve had in the past, this salad just stands out. The vinaigrette is astoundingly flavourful without being too overpowering. Writing about this is giving me serious cravings. 😐
The Farfalle alla Veneziana was such a pretty plate! It has a creamy seafood sauce and a peppering of parsley. I loved the perfectly cooked farfalle and the light cream sauce. I like pasta dishes like these, you know, the ones who don’t leave you feeling guilty after eating three rounds of it. 😛
Best thing about Cibo’s Praga Bianca? It’s so simple and straightforward. I like restaurants that don’t overembellish their pizza varieties, you know? Even though this only has mozzarella, mushroom, and ham, I’d pick this over those with more than 5 components. 🙂
