The Old Spaghetti House: From Foodie.PH With Love

Have you ever tried ordering food through an online delivery service? I don’t. Well, until last week, that is.

I’ve always had an aversion towards online delivery services because I don’t trust them enough to be on the Internet 24/7. LOL. There is however, this new online delivery website called Foodie.ph that looked worth the try.

A peek into Foodie.ph's interface. This is the virtual men (you have to register first!).

I placed my ordered two days ahead and chose one of my favorites–The Old Spaghetti House. See the interface? It’s pretty easy to navigate! One thing I see that they could improve on is to include photos of the dishes. I had to switch between two tabs to see what this particular dish I’m unfamiliar with looks like. Plus, mouth-watering visuals can only improve the “foodie” experience. πŸ™‚

After I placed my virtual order, I received a call from someone–perhaps from the Foodie.ph call center or something–confirming my order. Nice!

Yay! Three warm boxes of pizza waiting for me! 

So fast-forward to Friday! I completely forgot about it until someone from reception rang about a delivery guy looking for me. It arrived at exactly (okay maybe a minute late) 12:15PM! He was apologizing profusely for being late so I told him that he was actually on time. πŸ˜€

Thin and warm. Just how I like it!

Here’s what I ordered for the girls–three boxes of pizza! We had 5-Cheese, Pepperoni, and Supremo. I ordered solely pizzas because I sorely miss TOSH’s pizza flavors. The 5-Cheese pizza and its simplicity will always be my favorite, for it’s a stellar reminder that yummy pizza need not drown in gargantuan toppings.

Photo opp! Kat and I showing off (err, modeling) TOSH pizzas. Haha!

So, if you’re a busy bee working in Makati just like me, I would definitely recommend you to skip the instant noodles and fast food meals, and just go on Foodie.ph to order “real” food from your favorite restaurant. They do have a minimum delivery of Php300, but who’s to say you don’t have a co-worker who wouldn’t want a slice of TOSH (or other restaurants like Banana Leaf, Chuck’s Deli, Crisostomo, etc) goodness too? πŸ™‚

As an up-and-comer, Foodie.PH definitely impressed. For staying true to their delivery time promise, wonderful customer service (before and after delivery!), and growing restaurant roster, Foodie.PH earned a precious slot in my browser bookmark! :p
